Crystal Palace (N) | FA Cup Final | Post Match Thread

Which is kind of my point. Whether he touches it is irrelevant. It's a foul because he lunges in and gets nowhere close to actually materially winning the ball but goes straight through Bernardo in the process.

Like I said, need to see it again. Thought the ball was going out though.

Huge congratulations to Palace, they learnt their lesson from a few weeks back when they were 2.0 up and cruising. This time they played the game perfectly, pushed us out to the wings and watched us float aimless crosses into the box. Knew they would have a few heart in mouth moments but they rode them.

Hope whatever Pep said to Henderson wasn’t to do with the handball, not his fault he wasn’t sent off.

We haven’t deserved to win anything this season, so I’m glad we don’t have something to paper over the cracks.

The whole club needs to look at itself, 200 million in January and we have barely seen three of the players and still sit 6th.
Fucking hell, mate, there's being a "good loser" and then there's this.

How can we toss off consectiruve fa cups to utter shite teams?

First time today it’s crossed my mind that peps tone may be up

We created enough for the first 50 minutes or so but not enough after that. We never take our chances and we look like a side without goals. Once Marmoush missed the penalty it never looked like it was our day.

We have 2 huge games coming up but have scored 1 in our last 3 which is a huge concern.

KDB should have been off early second half he was miles off the pace.

The ref was as poor as expected. Waited for 90 minutes to book Henderson for time wasting. Got the red card wrong and allowed palace to waste time all day, kicking balks away, holding onto ball.

Is it fair to ask whether the assistant VAR official being a former palace youth player has a bearing on the red card?
Yes it is

I witnessed Barcelona allowing two goals before rallying to score three in the first half. For us, achieving such a turnaround feels nearly impossible given our slow-paced style of play, which relies heavily on rotations and lateral passes. In the second half, we had two significant opportunities. The first came when Oreilly received the ball, but he fumbled the chance by attempting to switch it to his left foot instead of shooting with his right.

The second opportunity arose when Ocheverri directed his shot straight at the goalkeeper rather than aiming for the far corner.
A key difference today in the match was our goalkeeper’s delayed reactions, which prevented him from positioning himself properly to stop an easy shot at the center of the goal. In contrast, their goalkeeper performed exceptionally well, saving at least three shots and displaying outstanding movement for high balls. Unfortunately, we lost due to poor goalkeeping, an underwhelming midfield, and a lack of creativity, shooting, and direct play from several players.

What was the bet?
I had 150 on at 10/3 for palace, won 800 on scum last beating us last season. Wasn't confident of us beating them either. I fly malta In the morning to straight into the malta kitty it goes. Couldn't give a fuck if people say you shouldn't bet against your team haha atleast I can have a slight lacklustre smile after watching that shite!!!

Anyone shocked we lost this game? No, me neither. Just about sums this season up. Pep has earned a poor season, but I could make a list of things I’m not happy with this season and it wouldn’t be a short one. I’m particularly concerned about how unhappy Foden is looking and Pep’s apparently vindictive treatment of Grealish. Not good.
