Crystal Palace (N) | FA Cup Final | Post Match Thread

Why the fuck are the club paying Haaland a million per week if he's scared to take a penalty in the most significant moments? I don't care how many he's missed this season. It's inexcusable, and when Pep saw that, he should have told Haaland he has to take it, unlike after, as he did a few years ago when he gave one to Gundo, IIRC.

I don’t get Pep sometimes. Why the fuck is Echeverry making his debut in an FA Cup Final?!?! And in doing so, forcing Foden to hug the touch line. Why did Haaland and KDB stay in? Why not bring on Nunes for Akanji when we NEED a goal!? I know these things are easy to question from my couch, but Jesus, it’s both baffling and maddening.

I feel for Savio. He looks devoid of confidence right now. I wish Bobb were healthy, and Foden were in better form.

Have to take this on the chin and move on. There’s still a lot to play for these next two games.

Congrats to Palace, we were dogshit yet again and a few signings in the summer won't make much difference.
I love Pep, i sincerely hope he can get his mojo back but i'm not really sure he can, the game always moves on & great coaches become yesterday's men very quickly

Viana needs to cancel some contracts of the some players here or else the bald man will keep playing them next season

Fucking embarrassing. We're going to have massive problems next season regardless of how good our summer transfers are. Too many players that peaked during the treble season and are now average players or just straight up rubbish.

Rubbish. I'll say it again, Haaland is a coward. He's paid shiteloads of dosh and bottles out of taking a penalty. Utter rubbish. We've gone backwards since signing him, I cheered as much as the next man at his signing, but our play has died since, and frankly we play with 10-men when he's on the pitch.

This is one of those seasons where the management need to be pretty brutal with outgoing transfers.

Pep has never had to rebuild his own squad before. He's going to have to do it this time.

Shite but not lacking in effort. Not annoyed at the players, we need a massive overhaul

Palace defended brilliantly

Should've been a red

Pep made the most baffling decision I've seen him make bringing Echeverri on

A stunning display of strategy and tactics never seen before, play deep leave no space behind and break fast when the opposing team lose the ball - I think this never seen before tactics will catch on - definitely innovative- but we had the most possession so all is good

To be fair it's nice for Palace to win a trophy.

I think the manager has been too loyal to some players who are probably finished after their exploits over the last 7 seasons.
