Haaland is bullied too often now and hides behind defenders. He stopped making those runs across the box he did in his first 12 months. Their front 3 of Sarr, Eze and Mateta were much better than our front 3. Haaland should watch how Mateta put himself about today.

As for his poor performances, he’s got fuck all to work with. Every ounce of creativity has been removed from this side. Just look at Foden when he came on, not only did he make more passes backwards than forwards, he was left with nothing but hitting hopeful crosses to the box. This is one of the most gifted players in English history we’re talking about.

I just don’t understand how a side with such attacking talent can be so poor.

It’s unpleasant and you feel for the lad, but come on, we all guffawed at that fat dipper kid in tears when we came back to 3-2 against Villa in the last game a few seasons back so we can’t say a great deal.

Difference is different set up. Their wingers would still struggle in ours and there would be calls in bringing more of them.

Well yeah, there's no point making selfless forward runs if you don't at least have a cross to back it up. No-one's going with Akanji and he showed the one time he did it today why. His cross ended up in row Z.

Walker did it all the time. It's a decoy to try give a foden some space to drive. Obviously in a perfect world that right back can also cross.
