I agree. Bigger picture matters more. We are about to do a rebuild that will define our next 10 or so years. It matters a lot whether we will bring the likes of Wirtz or MGW etc. People will take your post out of context but it's not like you don't want to play our best 11 today. I assume you do. You're just pointing out the fact that our next 2 league games have enormous implications long-term, whereas an FA Cup final loss does not.

We definitely want to win it today, and we will give it our best shot, but CL is more important for us long term than one FA Cup Trophy. If we get the wrong players, we won't be seeing it anytime soon. Get the right ones, and we will be seeing it on a regular basis in the next decade. People here act like we are Man City and players should want to join us just for that, but that used to be united. We don't want to get arrogant and cocky like them. Look what happened to them in the last 10-15 years or so.

I say let's get the FA Cup AND the CL qualification. Both massive for us.
