Crystal Palace Thread 2013/14

Started his tenure at Palace with the textbook list of "TO DO's" 1st off re vamped their shocking defence stopped them conceding silly goals, hours of training ground organisational defensive drills has made them difficult to break down, he's added pace and mobility in midfield to hit teams on the break. Tony while sometimes fielding teams and using tactics not pretty to watch has a very astute, sharp tactical brain and reads the game brilliantly he is a top top manager and has done an excellent job, our trip there will be anything but easy.

I was very happy with the appointment for all the reasons you said, though quite a few fans weren't. That being said I did not expect him to do this well or even seriously give us a realistic chances of staying up with 6 games to go.

Just fuck off Cardiff and your scummy fans.

Manager of the season? he cant be far off.
Obviously I am far from impartial, but if we stay up and Liverpool don't win the league would give it to him.

I personally never thought Holloway was doing a great job. Our league form was dire and from pushing for an automatic promotion place we scraped the play off on the last day, but that being said he did take us up. I can only really compare it to a City manager, who takes you to 6th in the league, but wins the CL. I would have given him this entire season, but luckily he quite. Who would have thought that the wonder goal from Fulham would save us.

If we win the league Pellegrini will have won the double in his first year. If that isn't enough to win Manager of the year then I don't know what is.
I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't though. The football genius of Alan Pardew won it instead of Mancini when we last won the league.
I would have suggested Newcastle's chief scout deserved more of the credit but you can't deny they over-achieved that year.

Had a good laugh about Cardiff and their allegations. It's their problem if thngs are leaked, unless we bribed them.

First half an hour today was awful, but the atmosphere was really good. DK went off for Chamakh, due to injury, then we completely took control of the game. Played some really nice stuff and created a couple of clear chances. From an inventive freekick, I am sure we should have had a pen, but other end from me. Jerome missed a sitter. He is a poor man's Heskey, which is something we need. Second half continued dominating the game and Bolassie was particularly good. Puncheon scored from a Bolassie cross and we had chances on the counter again. Puncheon unlucky to hit the post. Last 10 or so mins we got nervous and were dropping too deep. It led to them having a great chance, but Speroni made a fantastic save. Great win and we really played some nice football.

I felt we needed this, because looking at the fixtures Cardiff and Fulham have, they can get a lot of points.

pulis is just a mourinho wantabe. it's funny how much u english wanks appreciate their work. negative football with solid defense and pacey counters... oh it's beautiful. they're such great managers. I wish every team played like that. Would make the sport so much more fun to watch, don't you think?

Yes I do. I thoroughly enjoyed watching us play today. A balanced team that used what we had to dominate a game and create chances. It also means we are very successful for our ambitions.

What the fuck are you on about? I don't think anyone has said it's beautiful football. But you have to give the guy credit; Palace were dead when he went there. Now it looks like they're going to comfortably survive. There is an argument that, given the players and resources at his disposal, he's done a better job than Rodgers, Pellegrini, Wenger, Moyes etc etc. By the way; ''u english wanks''. Who are you referring to specifically? And it's ''you'' and English is spelt with an upper case 'E'.

I can't help but feel your the kind of guy who watchs Barca and gets in a massive fit if someone dares to stop them.

The Fact is the Premier leagues best feature is the fact there are so many styles present and contrasting between the clubs. An entire league like that would be boring, but the fact we have one or two knocking about makes the league much more entertaining and diverse. Pretty sure Crystal Palace fans don't mind and think its great to get points against the big boys, just like Swansea fans have done.

Football elitists are some of the worst fans about.
