Crystal Palace Thread - 2022/23

I had him to fail in the first few games and be sacked, so he passed my expectations lasting this long.

I can only see this move slightly increasing Palace odd of getting a draw on Sunday v Arse.

Not really, they've not won in 2023 and only scored 4 goals. Went 3 games without a shot on target.

3 points off the drop zone and in the worst form in the league.

They've had a very tough run of fixtures.

Whoever is new manager will get a run of of more winnable games (after Arsenal), so the results should pick up regardless of who's in charge.

It would be beautiful if big Sam comes out of retirement to haunt arsenal one last time
That would be interesting because haven't they already been down this route before with Sam or was that the previous ownership?

It really doe's show though including Lampard and Gerrard that the old adage that great players don't always make great managers to be true.

Having said that? Although Palace aren't on the same scale as the clubs the other two have managed I think it's fair to say Viera really hasn't had anything like the financial backing quota of say an Aston Villa/Everton.

Back to the original point though? and casting an eye around given the limited time of the season left I think Sam is really the only realistic option available - unless they go really 'left field' and appoint an unexpected name 'completely out of the blue.

Be an interesting one this. But I'd imagine it will get resolved quickly as logic says somebody will already have been sounded out.

Rafa Benitez the favourite apparently, if he gets it i hope the cunts go down
