Whats the justification for the blockade short of USA hoping they can make the lives of the ordinary Cuban so miserable they'll overthrow the current government in favour of one USA likes more.

This cant be a legal way to act. Fine if USA dont want to supply goods to Cuba but what right do they have to determine that no-one else can?

From the internet.
Cuba is generally classified by political scientists and international watchdogs as a single-party authoritarian regime, not a democracy
. While Cuba holds elections for local and national assemblies, the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) is the only legal party, and political opposition is not permitted.

So, similar to Iran, it can be argued that it's citizens are not free. Now how important freedom is to you compared to safety is almost certainly a personal choice. For me, I would want democracy, freedom, others may be satisfied with life under an authoritarian regime (that they may or may not support). So if I was Cuban I would welcome regime change if it delivered democracy. i.e If I was Cuban I would not be interested in the rest of the world anguishing over whether my freedom was legal or not I would just want someone to do something, again, similar to many in Iran who want their fascist government overthrown.

I can see that, but who are USA to make that decision on behalf of the Cubans and the rest of the world.

And does the end of achieving a US style (and US friendly) democracy justify the means (blockades, no oil, electricity failing, hospitals falling apart etc)?

And should the rest of the international community just sit back and ignore that this is happening?

I think not.

It's a rebel province of Trump's American Empire, and starving the people is perfectly reasonable as Dead Cubans Don't Count (except for any effect on the Florida voting).

Can we play ‘do one’ with the shitty AI overviews?

Enough with the freedom fighting narrative bullshit as well. The idea that Iranians are in anyway happy with what is going on right now is absolutely ridiculous. I remember someone on here bleating on about how Palestinian’s would be happy with Israel’s attack on Gaza because it would free them from Hamas. It’s an absolutely ridiculous take.

Not only that but the US MAGA regime is against everything which democracy stands for, so not sure how injecting them with a dose of their crap will do Cuba any good.

What next, saying Russians want to be invaded and bombed by NATO to free themselves of Putin?

My stance is that democracy is far, far, far better than these ideology based one party states where any opposition is crushed and brutally crushed.

Whether the end justifies the means is a matter of opinion and personal choice. The American Civil War was about ending slavery. 750,000 men died. Was that worth it?

The international community will ban the USA from the Eurovision song contest and suggest not going to the World Cup. i.e The international community is only interested in maintaining the status quo and has laws to prove it.

Whats wrong with AI overviews? Where is it incorrect?

I've already stated that some people would be happy to live under authoritarian one party regimes. That's their choice. All I'm saying is that I and many, many others would choose not to. That's our choice as well.

Well I'd say that if it takes destroying peoples lives to convince people that they need to overthrow their government, maybe it wasnt such a pressing issue in the first place.

Before it was a communist country it was run by a dictator. It was totally corrupt and most lived in poverty.
The Americans used it as a plaything and encouraged the corruption. (The Godfather II portrayed it rather well)

Please dont be misled by American (western) propaganda about Communism. What they had before was no better and after Trump has finished playing with it, it will be a damn sight worse. The every day Cuban will yet again be left to suffer the consequences.

because america are cunts when it comes to cuba and have been since they were fucked off out ift.

Also the Bacardi family and its shite booze are scum

Basically this all stems from the
a/missile crisis
b/the Bay of Pigs humiliation right in their own back yard
- its a wart on the arse of America that they are constantly worried will become malignant melanoma - Trump may posture but see a above - he won't do anything if not signed off by Putin
