Cup Schemes - 2025/26 | Deadline Friday 27th June 5pm

We are ditching the League Cup this year. Was tempted to drop the other two as well.

The club have to take notice of what’s going on with the fans.

I'm aware that we have a season ticket thread but just wanted to see what the consensus was on cup schemes next season. Who's doing what?

I was in all 3 this year but planning to drop the League Cup and Champions League.

The League Cup is going for sure. Mid-weeks aren't great but are made worse with the lack of announcements regarding pricing, they just make it up as they go along, especially the Champions League games and for the first time since we've been in Europe I found the group stage completely tedious and meaningless.

Probably stay in the FA Cup as it's usually a weekend and costs in that competition for the last 2-3 seasons have been the best value for money.
As a slight side issue, if the worst comes to the worst, what about the Europa League cup scheme?……..

I think my general apathy with Europe is the new format, top 24 to qualify just takes away the jeopardy for me and I say that in a season where we had the most jeopardy possible (imo) at the group stage. The final is in a 42k stadium next year too (EL that is), so 10,000 tickets probably, so probably a no again.

If City come out with a legitimate pricing structure for Europe, not 2-3 weeks before each game like they're doing, then I'd maybe reconsider.

4 of us dropped all 3, we’re waiting to see how things pan out off the pitch over the next few months before deciding, but I think we’ve binned off the LC for good, CL I’d say we are almost certainly done with after this seasons home crowds, and the fa cup is probably 50-50.
We’re a family of 4 & the pressure to attend X amount of league games with all the chopping around of fixtures means we’ll have to have to focus our time & financials on those to maintain the ST’s, not that we miss many, but you never know what’s around the corner

Don’t even know how you can think of falling out of love with our club. For me it’s always been in the blood and always will be.
It’s a bit like the missus. You can love them but they still annoy the fuck out of you from time to time and I think at the moment the club have very much drifted into this territory for a lot of fans. I’ve never seen so much anger and annoyance around the club before since Swales was clinging on. It’s a really negative vibe at the moment. The powers that be can change this if they wish and should really take heed. There is more to football clubs than just making money, especially at this level. All clubs need to be careful because at some point the gravy train may hit the buffers!

Champs league only for me, enjoy seeing us play different teams to usual and can't stand the earlier rounds of the fa cup when some no mark club fills the entire expanded away section which is usually bigger than their home attendances and they start giving it billy big bollocks in the ground

All three again. I live in Manchester (about half the time) and get to all home games (missed about 9 in 35 years) so it would be daft not to.

Dropped the CL and Carabao Cup.

Kept the FA Cup.

Cheap tickets. Weekend matches. Good away games. Good away support at the Etihad.

Kept Platinum to soften losing the CL and Carabao Cup points.

TBH, as I'm up at 4am for work, going to the CL matches was a ball ache.

Not to mention more group games, and a possible additional knockout game, more money.

I'd go just to see new teams. Also, it might be worth checking the capacity of the final venue before leaving the scheme.
42,000 capacity but at Besiktas in Istanbul. If we were in it and got to the final, I’d imagine a ticket won’t be terribly hard to come by, cup scheme or not…

CL final in Budapest might well benefit from being in the scheme.

Two points that not everyone may be aware of.

The deadline for joining all three schemes looks like it’s the 27th June. I’m pretty sure that’s early than in the past. Certainly for the FA Cup.

Secondly, there’s no such thing as a ‘Champions League’ scheme. It’s a ‘UEFA Competitions’ scheme. So by joining, you’re committing to whichever competition we may end up in.

Thanks for the deadline info.

So no excuses from the club really, 2 months to give us a pricing structure for the UEFA scheme. With the additional games it's the least they could do.

I am debating whether to renew or not, largely down to mobility issues.

Mind you I had the same dilemma after lockdown, and after the Champions League win and again at the end of last season. If I renew I will enroll on all Cup Schemes.

I haven't done anything yet but I think I am on auto renew.

I think it's always been called the 'UEFA competitions' scheme.
I'm guessing that City did it that way in case of the scenario under the old CL format where the club might drop into the Europa League following a third place finish in the group stage. They didn't want people turning round and saying they'd only committed to paying for CL games for that season. Of course that no longer applies with the new format.

I dropped out of all 3 last season, no intention to rejoin

I wouldn't be surprised if the club announce at some stage that CL and FA cup become compulsory for season. card holders
Especially if the drop off is substantial
