Curries

My Local Indian (The Standard in Urmston) has a Chicken Naga. It's not ridiculously hot - equivalent to a Madras certainly not as hot as a Vindaloo. Of course, the strength of curries differs from restaurant to restaurant but i'd give it a try.

But remember to put the toilet roll in the fridge before you go out.

I grow habaneros. You would never want to eat one. If you put it in your mouth and chewed it properly, it would be pure pain and you might well suffer lasting damage.

I make a paste with chopped limes, salt, sugar, oil, garlic and deseeded habaneros. I add it to chopped onions with tamarind and corriander to make a biting pickle.

If you make this, wear gloves to deseed the chillies.

Have I tried one?

Yes.

But I would never do it again.
