Cut & paste in Works

Works doesn't like pasting from Word or Excel, it just puts <<Picture>> in the database. But I'm now using Windows 10 and in Works it's putting <<Picture>> even with text cut and pasted from the adjacent field. Any fixes?

If you're pasting from Excel you need to select the data, set it as a database on the data menu and save it into the works directory (MSWORKS), then open it in works as a saved file.
Can't help you with Word, sorry.
