Cheers mate, weve got a battery powered radio too . Our power is about too go :/

Crikey!

We are very lucky here you know. We moan when its too hot, moan when a few cm of snow falls, and moan when it rains. Give me ALL that compared to what our cousins in Australia are about to go through. That satellite pic shows its almost as big as half of the eastern coast - mental.

Looks like a beast alright, as if the NE didn't have enough on their plates already. Let's hope all our Antipodean mates get through okay.

You'll be right,do as they tell you and you will be OK.

My heart goes out to anyone there, I've just read police are turning distressed people away from overcrowded shelters. Not really something anyone should be making jokes about, this fucker is going rip homes out of the ground and destroy lives. Good luck to anyone there and lets hope losses are kept to a minimum.

Weird isnt it? This thing is on its way, and people will die during this cyclone. They're currently hoping for the best, but they wont survive it. They, we and the emergency services are in the hands of mother nature and there is nothing we can do.

Scary thought.
