Cyrille Regis

Such sad and surprising news,as i will always see such a powerful and fit looking man.

Both the game and society has lost a man that commanded huge respect,he was a trail blazer that paved the way,and offered hope, and inspirartion, for many young black footballers who might otherwise have been put off the game,as a result of racism.

RIP big man.

Very sad news.

I remember Cyrille at West Brom very well. He was a great player and a great 'pioneer', if that’s the right word, along with Laurie Cunningham, Brendan Batson and Viv Anderson, for all of the black players, who have graced the game since.

He was a cousin of Olympic sprinter, John Regis.

R. I. P. Cyrille. You will be sadly missed.
