Daft Punk's RAM Album

I thought it was very underwhelming, I'm a massive Daft Punk fan but Get Lucky's the only decent song on it.
Nile Rogers played the guitars and remixed it with that funky stuff he's done for nearly 40yrs, thats why. The man is a genius. I didnt realise until this year that he re-wrote the best duran duran tracks to make them the hits they became. When you know, you can hear it, its how he plays

I expected better. First single and the last track are the only ones with anything really to it. Glad I haven't pre ordered it anyway.

Only had one listen through and quite like it but think people who are saying some of the songs 'go nowhere' have a fair point. That one with the 'lose yourself to dance' (or something) lyric being a good example of that.

Also this superior cover of Get Lucky is a good example of how some of the songs are a missed opportunity - it even does the robot voices better than Daft Punk did them - on this album they just sound dated and lazy whenever they do it halfway through a song.

Some of Daft Punks most famous tracks 'go nowhere'. Its one of their signatures to loop tracks all the way to the end.

Was lstening to the new album again last night, it gets better and better for me. Contact is fucking incredible.

Quite underwhelming, missing something, I think the tempo of the songs is off, it isn't fast really. I think I'd enjoy this outside on a hot day with a cider actually, really mellow and chilled stuff, but I know PLENTY of other bands/projects etc. with a similar sound so its not really offering anything new.
