Is there any photoshopping going on between those two Bellamy pics? Did he push (with the palm of his hand) the Rag or did he punch (with his fist) the Rag?

I really hope it's the latter!

If you watch the video (sorry, don't have the link to hand), it couldn't be clearer. the fan's face was turned straight towards Bellers. The 'fan' then jerked his head at Bellamy, like a fake headbut or spit. In the first picture you can see what happened about a second later, Bellamy put his hand around the idiot's jaw. He pushed it away to the position you see in the second photo.

All of the papers had access to both photos, but quite a few chose the second photo, and printed stories saying Bellamy appeared to 'hit', 'punch' or 'strike' the idiot, even tho anyone who saw the video could see he clearly did not. Sky had access to the video, but they only showed the aftermath, not the incident itself (notice how calm Bellamy is when Rio accosts him). It's quite dispiriting that some city fans, including some high profile bloggers, have repeated the lie that Bellamy struck the fan.

It's like the headlines yesterday that Bellamy 'escaped' punishment, which implies he was guilty anyway, and today most sites say the police have 'dropped' the investigation, where the actual quotes from GMP clearly imply that there never was an investigation to be dropped. The story has been made to fit a pre-concieved idea of Bellamy, that he is a thug, or at best someone who operates on a very short fuse. I think he actually was totally in control throughout. He is a bold character, and I think that's hard for some people to understand.
