I'm no fan of Dalglish and the easy rise he got from the Liverpool fans but he delivered the Carling Cup and got to the Final of the FA Cup. That's not failing on almost every capacity. Failure is early round exits and not two trips to Wembley for the North Wales and Cheshire massive.

It's a buisiness League position is all that counts nowadays, Cups are nice but they are a side show, it's Top 4 or bust especially for a club the size of Liverpool

You could argue no Manager would've seen Liverpool top 4 this season because of the mess they're in. Whoever takes the job has a squad to rebuild and they'll need time.

I'd personally like AVB for the job. Seems a good guy and good tactically when Terry doesn't make the team turn against him.
