Damaged boiler thermostat. Advice needed.

Any Gas Safe engineers on here ? I’ve dropped and damaged my Combie Boiler thermostat. Is it just a case of buying a new similar one,sticking in some batteries, and it will just work ? Or is it more complicated ? Thanks. Tony.

Ours stopped working years ago so we bought a replacement online. It paired with the boiler right away, but I don’t know if they all do. The boiler is a Vaillant and the thermostat is a Honeywell.

The boiler thermostat or your heating (zone) thermostat?

If it's the latter, then you can just replace it yourself.

Gas safe is a industry swizz.
