Hard to blame her, I suppose. I imagine the training regime is fairly brutal. Combine that with the fact that she's no spring chicken...

and that she has a family now, which didn't come without it's share of heartbreak. Her priorities now lie away from cycling.

I remember the show she did with Guy Martin and yeah the training was pretty brutal.

I saw her live at the Glasgow commonwealth games.
Great rider and bubbly personality really shone through.

I guess that coaching may be the next logical step for her, if she can juggle her time between being a mother of two young kids. TV work could be another option. She seems to have the personality for it.

I think she said in one of the interviews that she's probably not going to coach for the reason you give.
She seemed to have an idea to mentor and encourage youngsters - that's my recollection anyway.
