Dame Vera Lynn RIP

A fantastic woman whom I have the utmost respect for
Her efforts in keeping up morale amongst British troops , especially in the far east where my dad served during WW2, were inspirational
Watching the tributes on the lunchtime news and I really welled up when they showed her with her war time diary and a clip of her in Burma

RIP to a most wonderful lady

Just heard her song on tele and thought it was a lockdown pick-me-up.

RIP Vera

Hopefully they'll build her a statue and then someone will discover a tenuous link to some dodgy goings on and they organise a protest and the statue gets encased in concrete. Or something like that.

Fair play to her though, good old age, etc
