Agger is a crock.

If City want a good centre back then there is this guy who's name is Younes Kaboul (Future French Captain).

He is immense, He scored vs City last season with a bullet header.

That was a scouting failure but fathellensbellend is right, there are plenty of Vincent Kompany types out there who could be signed cheap if our scouting system works as it's supposed to (Arturo Vidal = signed by Juventus for under £10million one year ago = worth £20million-ish now). After all, every £25million player was at some point worth next to nothing. I see we and Arsenal are being linked with Cheikhou Kouyate again who is 22 and comes from the same club Kompany started at. Centre back and defensive midfielder just like Kompany was.

But I have to agree with you on Kaboul.

Absolute class player.

You will find a lot of city fans will dismiss him sraight away due to him having a poor spell at spurs before he moved to pompey.

If i could get any centre half in the prem to partner kompany, it would be Kaboul

I rate Kaboul highly, very highly, but crock could be a term used to describe him also.

I was chatting to a Liverpool fan who knows a member of their backroom staff. Apparently Agger has serious back problems which aren't going to get any better :(
 
The bullet header was from 6 yards out and defoe was blocking Joes sight of it but I think he would do once integrated into our system. He certainly didn't give up in that game like some.

Ideally it needs to be someone with CL/European experience. There must be a Swede or Finn promising east european somewhere?
 
He will not play the complete game as he's just back and lacks match fitness, he will surely play last 30 minutes

Things will get interesting if he doesn't plays at all

We're calling in the same doctor who signed off Roque Santa Cruz as being fit.

I think he used to work for Michael Jackson if memory serves...

Generally it's a bit forced, but that one did give me a good chuckle. It was a cracking header, too.
