In todays setup Agger and Lescott alongside Komps would have been fantastic - if not him,we need someone of similar ability,our current options simply aren't up to the task.

Not really. Micah can play in CB , so in a 3-5-2 we wouldn't have any problem if Micah and Lescott play alongside Kompany . We don't really need to add any player this season . Agger is a great defender but i think we would be safe with Micah /Kolo -Kompany-Lescott . The only way Agger or Chellini would be sold is if we are offering an OUTRAGEOUS amount of money and i don't really see why we should do that .

We need a CB. And i can see us signing one after Kolo is offloaded (hopefully soon). I think Agger would be perfect.

Not just a CB, a footballing CB like agger, someone that can pass the ball well in this formation

I really wish we offload Kolo but sadly i don't think that would be happening this season and i don't think Javi Martinez or Agger would be coming this season so we have to use what we have right now . Kolo isn't really a bad CB and we can do with him when we play in 3-5-2 . I see Mancini rotating Kolo and Micah richards more often this season (IF we play the new formation all season)
