If mancini wants to continue with 3-5-2 then getting agger or someone of similar quality is essential and should push up the amount we're willing to pay for him. 2 cb formation and we can live without him.

Why is City not looking at Skrtel for the CB position? I would have thought Skrtel is better than Agger, relatively injury-free, and his contract is almost up at Liverpool..

better than someone who tries to show his loyalty to L'pool just because he's reluctant to move to us, and then in the same breath says he's ready to move to Barca without a second thought..

I'd like to see this guy at City, he's a decent ball player and passer for a CB and is hard as nails, he also scores a few and makes a nuisance of himself in the opposition penalty box. Unfortunately, he seems quite happy where he is. However, the chance to possibly double his wages and join a club who are more likely, over the remainder of his playing career, to be in with a shout of winning trophies should be two solid reasons for him to want to join us yet I read nothing anywhere of this desire....makes me think, stuff him but at the same time I think, nice to see a bit of loyalty towards a club.
