Must have been to have written this.

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2010/apr/15/manchester-city-united-roberto-mancini" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog ... to-mancini</a>

Hope this hasn't already been posted couldn't find it if it had.

He even looks like a horrible little turd.

I was gobsmacked reading that considering who wrote it. It's a great little piece and that's not because it's a positive one but it's just simply a great article, though he is wrong about de Jong excelling IMO.

Staff at City's training ground say there is a change in atmosphere. Hughes used to keep his distance. He described Carrington as a "football factory" and was always very much The Boss, with a long and extensive rulebook. The gate at Carrington is manned by a gregarious old Glaswegian by the name of Mike Corbett, a former bombardier who has worked at the club for years and always decorated his cabin with posters of players. Hughes asked him to take them down.

What a wanker

Have you read the piece JOTS?

Thats the point I was trying to make.
I cant believe that Taylor has actually written a positive article about City and Mancini. I am sure they have been putting red hot needles under his fingernails to get him to comply.

Don't know who the journo is and have no axe to grind with him. I thought it was an excellent article and a great read!!

Show's our club in a better light than most.

Interesting. After his nasty and negative piece yesterday, where they took down the Comments section, now this. One is tempted to suspect that Vicky Kloss or the City lawyers have been having a quiet word with him or his editor.

I think we will have "fed them a bone", no way would Daniel Taylor pull the gem out about Mike the Doorman otherwise.

After the flaming he and his sports editor got after his last piece of anti-City, pro-rag propaganda, I have no doubt whatsover that he was called into the office and told to write something a little more positive about us

I agree but still think it's all very odd.
