Garry Cook did mention that we wont be buying the stadium any time soon as its cheaper to rent it and we get a lot of support from the council .......

so was there any hint that cook and co were thinking (or the council will allow us) to expand the stadium??

Re: Question and answer session tonight....

It was mentioned but I cant remember fully what he said, something like ''we are always looking at different ways to make MCFC bigger'' etc, the usual corporate non-answer

Re: Question and answer session tonight....

I was surprised with the question about Sponsership, i.e. Christies.

I honestly can't be arsed reading 12 pages, so sorry if it's been covered but....

Someone mentioned about Christie's being our shirt sponsor next yr, like Villa & Acorn. Cooke answered by saying that Acorn are actually making people redundant because public perception is that Villa are giving them money so people think they've got enough...which is mad!! i couldn't believe it. So whilst it's a good idea to think, there are lots of mitagating factors which could actually hamper a charity.

thought it was a poor show that only Dunne could be bothered turning up from the players side...............granted Bellamy had a very valid excuse for not being there, but he would have known for days when the funeral was and so there was plenty of time to rope another first team squad member into giving up a couple of hours of their precious time?!!!

That aside, I was slightly disappointed with some of the answers given on the night, but as pointed out by other posters on this thread, they were never going to say anything mildly controversial or give away any exclusive news.

Nice to meet some fellow bluemooners as well, perhaps next time we can all come wearing name badges as it seems there were a good few of us there.

That's the nature of the beast though, isn't it. You can't expect them to give anything other than bland answers or say anything that even sounds like it could be close to a decision on anything.

Personally, I was bored rigid after five minutes but that's not City's fault, it's what was always going to happen at that sort of event and it would be the same at any other club in the world.

I thought the four on the panel came across well, couldn't have really done much better.

One thing that was a bit boring though, half the questions weren't even questions, they were just trying to prompt them to say things that people wanted to hear. "How do we convince people we are not going to ruin football?" "Is it a case of just saying to The Sun, enough is enough?" Questions like that were just attempts to get Cook to go on the sort of persecution complex rant that you see some sensitive souls on here bleating about every single time they see an article they don't like and are more likely to make the club look like small time, petty idiots than professionals who know how rags (as in papers) work. If Cook wasn't on his toes and had said what they wanted to hear, something like "Yeah, enough's enough, everyone hates us, it's not on, we won't stand for it, we're going to have them" then he and the club would have looked very silly.

Re: Question and answer session tonight....

remembered these two today....

1, Someone asked if they thought the team was now getting near to a Mark Hughes side as against Villa we looked like Blackburn at their best.

MH....Blackburn never played as good as that.....laughter!

2, Question for Mark Hughes, Mark you played for United and you have managed City....who has the best fans.....hysterical laughter.

Answer....Wales fans!

Re: Question and answer session tonight....

Thanks to everyone who has updated, I admit I have speed read this so if it's covered I apologise but did anyone mention the banning of SWP and how players for larger clubs, who also have their chief executive of the board of the FA creating a conflict of interest. Did we defend it. I would have placed one of the FA tossers on the floor and hoofed a ball at him from 6 inches to see what he did!

Re: Question and answer session tonight....
