he's been at Liverpool , Spurs , Fulham and Blackburn , so he's done his bit , and i found him okay as a player..... and , although relatively 'fresh' at the job , he appears quite 'well balanced' as a pundit.
 
Thought Danny Murphy was good on match of the day last night, certainly put Mary Poppins in the shade.
Was far more informed than that Geordie clown.
 
to be fair to shearer he was right about the 2nd Villa penalty. A lot of nonsense being spouted about getting the ball, irrelevant if you've already taken the guy out.

MOTD was much better without Hansen, shame he's not leaving till next summer.
 
Murphy always struck me as an old school player, did well at Fulham on his day. Odd he has gone for punditry when he could offer football a severice in coaching or non-league.
 
A mate of ours is a Blackburn nut, goes home and away and pretty much bleeds blue and white. He fucking hates Murphy for his stint at the club and says he was one of their worst players last season, and it was clear he was just there for a final payday. I got a bit scared actually when he went on his rant the other week, and his Blackburn accent made him sound even more psychotic if the truth be told.
