Don't think Rose has anything to apologise for. Spurs have failed to strengthen, for whatever reasons, whilst all those around them have. He wants to move back up north for personal reasons, that's nothing to apologise for. Other players in his kind of position are able to attract better wages, better career opportunities in terms of silverware. ON the subject of returning home, Sergio wants to go back to Argentina, David Silva to Spain, and we'll accommodate on the understanding that until them they're dedicated to the cause. Our cause being very visible and vocal though - we want to win every trophy we can and will invest in order to accomplish it. After that, a good servant to MCFC gets the understanding of the club in making their next move happen. Even Joe Hart has got that treatment.
Spurs are a bit more wishy-washy, Levy obviously doesn't fancy being on the other end of a transfer in this window at current prices, and the signals he is giving out are that he expects to finish lower than last season, he has no ambition to push on, and that's obviously not good enough for plays like Rose who want to have a few trophies to their name and only have a few years left to do it. If you want to improve in this footballing climate, you either need a great youth system and opportunity to introduce them to the senior team, keep a good performing tam together and not sell your best players to rivals i.e. Walker, find high quality players at lower league teams who are ready to step up soon ( Alli is an example I suppose but this is pretty rare), or get the wallet out and pay for proven quality.
Probably makes to harder for him to move now though, unless Spurs push him out or that £45m offer comes along. Positive we will not be paying that, wonder if the rags will propose a swap for salad dodger shaw?
