Anyone make a few quid:)
When you said he was more than likely going to arsenal at that same time his agent was talksport saying thats a none starter,he was abt 9/4 at that point.......The c**t knew all along :)

He actually had his medical early afternoon. He was training at Colney anyway with England.

It was never in doubt, his reps and Arsenal creating enough smoke just in case United were forced to pull the plug on the agreement if Falcao failed his medical.

Agents, eh!

How the rags continue to get top dollar for absolute dross never ceases to amaze me. Wenger really is losing the plot.

Danny Welbeck £16 000 000, fuck me have they moved transfer deadline day to April 1st cos that's gotta be a joke
England international, Premier League winner's medal, Champions League experience, part of the most successful team in living memory - £16m is a fucking steal.
You've only got own a scum replica shirt and you'll be in the frame for an England call up, Ronnie Wallworks got one, Champions league experience is no indication of quality, once again Ronnie Wallwork was part of said best team in living memory - £16 million is way too fucking much

By the way Luke Chadwick has a premier league medal and was also part of the most successful team in living memory

Was it ever proven to that he's not the love child of Sally Gunnell and Peter Beardsley?

In this day and age, £16 million is like the old £5 Million. I think it's a snip too. Good, home grown, hard working, team player who is young and can still develop and is an England International.

I really can't get my head round why we didn't go for him, especially when we lost Gudietti and Negredo.

Welbeck, despite what people say, in my opinion, would have been a perfect choice for 4th striker at our beloved club.

You only have to compare the fee to the £35 Million paid for Andy Carroll to realise this!
Get real .
I wouldn't want him even if United paid us to have him .

i thought when buying a striker the pre-requisite was to be able to score goals

His scoring rate for United 90 games 20 goals . He as the stats of a Paul Dickov in scoring . Yeah he works hard but not much in the way of scoring .

Not too shabby.....
You're a fan ?

I like him yes,he has qualities that cause problems,as a 4th striker here we could do a lot worse.

He will never get a faircrack through blue tints.
He's had two very good platforms to shine on and has barely managed a flicker on either. Can't deny he's a fine athlete but he's a proven second rate striker at best.

Whenever I read the name Danny Wellbeck I automatically expect the next two words to be 'is shite'

If he's the best we can do then we may as well start going back down Gigg lane!
