I would like to see our side attack West Brom. We dont have any strikers that can play alone up front so I'd put Robinho up with Jo, fill in behind with SWP, Ireland, Hamman and Elano, with Kompany, Dunne in CD and Garrido and Zabaleta full backs.

We really need to play our game passing the ball on the floor and let WBA wory about us rather than vice versa.

Bill, i dont know if i can get to go until friday... could we do what we did for newcastle..? meet you at the ground?
yeh of course tony but remember i'm in santander till friday night, text me.

Cheer mate....

Big phil is not a footballer.

Elano's best game this season? Up front with sturridge against West Ham.

Elano is brilliant around the box. Shite at dropping deep and trying to play Gerrard/Scholes balls.

Get him up front.
I agree. Around the box he's at his best, but Ireland, SWP, Robinho can do what he can do going forward, and Ireland and SWP can tackle and close down as well

Elano is like Geo. In another team with the right players around him he'd be a star. But we haven't got the defensive players around him to tolerate his weaknesses

Robinho is doing that now.

i know mate but we are THAT desperate.something has to change, anything is worth a try.
he is a big lad and can look after himself, we missed players like that yeaterday.

I'd like to see him given a chance. He looks a big strong lad who could hold up the ball and bring the flair players into the attack.

know what you mean ... jo was nowhere near physical enough ... tbh i don't think we have had a striker that can play the lone striker role as well at all since Mpenza. Caecedo however just has no ball control and genuinly struggles with regards to running let alone playing football. If i was hughes i'd give 4-4-2 a go and put Jo upfront with Elano and see what happens. ATM we don't have the players to implement Hughes' system which IMO is resulting in everyone, fans, players and probably most of all Hughes himself becoming increasingly frustrated. Looking at the way Hughes is trying to get us to play i'm starting to think Santa-Cruz could be the answer.
