Yes, sorry, not funny. But no irony in that fact that people are killed on their way to see such a pro-violence movie? In Colorado? And then I read that people get killed in Norway on socialist retreats so we shouldn't investigate gun control, y'know, just in case?
Aside from the fact that it's probably a lot of fun and includes spectacular arsage and other thrills for whatever sort of viewer, does anyone else think that the sensitivity at work here is dark, repressive and even sadistic? Movies are all about the time they are made, so what does this tell us about the world and what folk buy (into)?
Not sure of your point, but films have(more or less) always been 'of their day'. This is no different.
I mean, wasn't Dillinger killed outside a cinema after coming out from seeing a film?
