Getting bricked at Leeds after Donachie scored
Team supported
City and Darlington FC
Had a soft spot for Darlo ever since I was a kid(have explained why in earlier posts)and get to see them whenever City not playing.

So,to go with Vermin,Spurs,Chelsea,Liverpool etc threads I will be providing updates on the mighty Darlo.

Clitheroe away yesterday,2 - 0 down at HT and came back to win 2 - 3.

350 - 400 Darlo in a crowd of 575.

In the bar before kick off with my Darlo T shirt(purchased when we played them in the cup up there late 90s) and 70s City scaf enjoying a few pints with Darlo fans,a chat with the Major of Clitheroe(council were match sponsors)and even the first teams after the match. Its a different world but very enjoyable.

The slope on one side of the pitch means that the team attacking look like they are in a scene from Zulu and the close proximity of the crowd to the pitch provided excellent banter as a Darlo Fan "coached" the Clitheroe keeper(taken in good spirits)on his kicking during the second half.

Anyway,2nd in the table to Curzon,on the road back I hope.

Re: Darlo Thread

Got to admit mate, it took me a while to figure out what Darlo meant.
I used to go and watch Oldham sometimes when City weren't playing .

Didnt do Villa today as bit tight on money with all games at moment so went to Salford City v Darlington,2 - 0 win for Darlo but Citys result ruined the day.

Good support from Darlo again,Salford very poor team to be honest even though they were trying to raise their game.

Some Darlo fans singing Bluemoon & 4 - 1 to the City Boys at Salford, assumed there must be Rags there.

Darlo have had some bad results midweek as like most teams in this league players sometimes cant get time off from work!

Third in the league now,on way back.

Mighty Darlo at Curzon Ashton tonight (Monday 14th) should be a good game as 1st against 2nd.

Talked a couple of Blue mates into going with me to Buxton this coming Sat,think its the fact they can drink whilst watching the game from the club bar that interests them to be honest.

Always seemed to have the impression a few seasons ago that Darlington played Rochdale every other week!!

Either Darlington or Doncaster are playing at cursor ashton tonight in a top of the table clash. I allways get those 2 mixed up.
