Had a soft spot for Darlo ever since I was a kid(have explained why in earlier posts)and get to see them whenever City not playing.
So,to go with Vermin,Spurs,Chelsea,Liverpool etc threads I will be providing updates on the mighty Darlo.
Clitheroe away yesterday,2 - 0 down at HT and came back to win 2 - 3.
350 - 400 Darlo in a crowd of 575.
In the bar before kick off with my Darlo T shirt(purchased when we played them in the cup up there late 90s) and 70s City scaf enjoying a few pints with Darlo fans,a chat with the Major of Clitheroe(council were match sponsors)and even the first teams after the match. Its a different world but very enjoyable.
The slope on one side of the pitch means that the team attacking look like they are in a scene from Zulu and the close proximity of the crowd to the pitch provided excellent banter as a Darlo Fan "coached" the Clitheroe keeper(taken in good spirits)on his kicking during the second half.
Anyway,2nd in the table to Curzon,on the road back I hope.
