Darren Bent £18m to Villa

Tottenham win financially yet again!!!! They're getting some of the money from the Bent sale after a sell on clause. Gotta hand it to 'Arry. No they've upped their bid for Pineaar.

I don't think Villa will be as easily beaten as when they came to our place. They've signed Jean Makoun from Lyon for Midfield, Darren Bent from Sunderland for upfront and England U21 rightback Kyle Walker (on loan from Tottenham). Also Houllier has brought the more experienced players back into the fold. They have options of Downing, Young and Albrighton on the wings. And all three offer PACE something we lack. Albrighton is a particular talent to watch, he's got pace, attacks all day long and can put great balls into the box. Most of Villa's goals so far have come from Albrighton assists.

Villa are going to be up for it against us after we thrashed them. I think our game was the turning point for Randy Lerner.

Darren Bent will be a great signing for us. Scores bucketfulls of goals wherever he's been and is something we have missed for a very long time. 20M doesn't buy you a lot of striker as you will know with Santa Cruz, Jo and Adebayour currently on your books. Third in the premier league goalscorers since 2005 with 81 goals just one behind Drogba and Rooney tells you quite a lot.

Yes probably overpaid a little but like i said we need someone that can come straight in and score goals, starting hopefully on Saturday! With signings already of Makoun and Walker plus Adam also set to be confirmed in the next 48 hrs. Perhaps we can show you what we are really made of this time.

Maybe pal but to gel 4 new signings into a team stright away is going to take longer than a couple of days as we have found out onlt to well but i will say this i believe 3 will be fantastic signings for you in the long run even if you have paid over the odds for bent a little don't know much about makoun so can't really comment on him

Really this signing depends on how many chances Villa create. I don't overly give a fuck either but Bent has contributed one assist in two seasons at Sunderland. If Villa aren't creating chances he will bring fuck all to the team as a whole. Good signing for them though considering their relegation battle.
