Was speaking to my contacts at the Club on Friday and they reckon we have made an approach for Darren Bent.

I have since received a text message from a Villa fan who I used to work with saying that we have enquired about him. Now I haven't spoken to him since he tipped me off about Milner and the two bits of info were totally unrelated and without me prompting them.

Not sure if he would fit in personally but he certainly knows how to put the ball in the net.

Anyway I have ventured onto the Transfer Forum so expect to get destroyed now!

QPR and Newcastle are the only two I reckon. One for money and the other a promising outfit lacking in depth and soon to lose Ba.

Benteke being on a quarter he's on and in good form has really put the cat amongst the pigeons. I remember last season when he was ill yet was out shopping somehwere.

Proper big time Charlie, would be truly guttee to sign what I perceive as a out and out mercenary who looks out only for himself.

Please no. I can understand the idea, look at the couple of times the back post was vacant yesterday, a poacher would/should be there and we lack a hungry clinical goal poacher. But Bent offers nothing besides standing around and waiting for the opening, there have to be goal poachers out there who offer a little more. Hernandez at United is a good poacher and an option like that would be good for us. Bring back the Goat.
