Is this the depth we have sunk too, from talking about Falcao and Cavani and with two days to go we are talking about Darren Bent, i hate to think what we will see tomorrow, Heskey maybe....

We need a fresh face to ignite our frontmen if we are to catch Manure.
Someone with premiership experience that doesn't need game time to acclimatise that can get on the end of lead up work could just be what we need.

His morale is at rock bottom, same happened to Dzeko when he had his bad period up until the Wigan away goal last year. It can be a killer for strikers as you may only get that one chance in a game and to miss in multiple games can make that run go for a long time. It is not like a midfielder where you can misplace a couple of passes but get the next one spot on.
To be a sub, and subbed again in a League Cup Semi Final against a League 2 side, missing a glorious chance from 6 yards out tells its own story about Darren Bent.
Would rather play Marcos Lopes than get him in.

Not such a risk if we can get him on loan , like most strikers he will thrive in a new environment.
Its obvious Lambert doesn't want him and yes he may have got the sulks but imagine what it would do for him if the champions came a calling.
Maybe not Bent but I just have this nagging feeling we need a striker for the run in to get the important goals that will give us the maximum chance to go back to back.
