Got a lift home the other night - they had Talkshite on - and Gough was going on about the Hartlepool Monkey like a big kid - The driver said this is the most calls they've ever had on! An indictment of how poor Gough is and how contrived and obvious Durham's devil's advocate angle is when they talk about football!

What is it about this guy? Am I alone? Everyone has an annoying Uncle / Brother in Law or mate who's knowledge on football spans from the gutter press and this guy is exactly that. I respect him for what he achieved in his field but I cringe every time he talks about football. It's all cliches & opinions without any reasoning. Not quite on Irani's level but for me DGIAC

A man with the same outlook as myself; well done. It really is bloody simple. If you don't like a particular presenter, DON'T LISTEN TO HIM/HER. It's not rocket science.
