Forgive me if my fading memory muddles the exact details but I remember Chelsea coming to Maine Road in the 60's with their hot at the time striker, Peter Osgood.
We in the Kippax started the relentless chant,
"Osgood's no good, Osgood's no good..."
It went on and on.
In due course Mr Osgood picked up the ball in the centre circle, waltzed passed George Heslop as if he wasn't there, stopped with his foot on it so George could reposition himself, nut megged him and, after beating a couple of other blue shirts, slotted the ball into the far corner of the net.
He then ran right over to us, stood still for a moment and, with a huge smile on his face, gave us the "V" sign with both hands. (Better manners in those days.)
