Since Price toned himself down, there isn’t really anyone that has that at the moment.

Yeah, the standard is undoubtedly higher but there’s definitely fewer characters in the game than 20 years ago.

I’d imagine Humphries and Littler will be the outstanding favourites but the likes of MVG, Cross, Anderson, van Veen, De Decker etc. shouldn’t be discounted.

Before the worlds , is the players championship starts next Friday on ITV 4 this is the grand national of darts , the draw is crazy in first round . Littler v Cross amongst many other mad draws. For me this tournament is better than the worlds in December. Shorter legs on eight boards below the main board. Looking forward to this .
ITV4 next Friday lunchtime it starts.
