That seems unlikely.

Whoscored says he has 3 shots a game, which isn't a lot (if anything it makes his scoring record look better as he's more accurate).

Lewandovski I know has a lot of shots, and sure enough, last season he played 6 more games than Nunez and had 4.7 shots a game. Lewandowski has 161 shots last season to Nunez's 85.

Are you sure that's the stat they were quoting?

The actual quote is for players 22 yrs old or younger across the top 5 leagues in Europe.

Surely Klopps wardrobe must be empty by now, didnt he say before they signed Dickvan and Allison Moyet that hed pack his bags and quit if he ever had to spend 75Mill on a player.

Unless of course its being paid for with "the Coutinho money"...

What amazes me most, is that he's being compared to Haaland - a year younger, but who was been scoring at a goal a game for three years now - two and a half of those in a tougher league.

A closer comparison is Alvarez.

Alvarez and Nunez are both 22.

They both had breakout seasons with their goal scoring going through the roof from last Autumn. Neither was prolific before, but since last September:

In 38 games, Nunez has 34 goals.
In 35 games, Alvarez has 33 goals.

Both have outperformed their xG massively over that time. Something that happens on the odd season for a lot of players, but it's unlikely either will keep it up (Lewandovski, Benzema, Aguero, Salah, Ronaldo, Haaland don't come close to that kind of overperformance over their careers. By some distance it's "better" than Messi's overperformance when he was hitting 35+ league goals a season).

They both broke into their national teams - 9 caps/1 goal and 11 caps/2 goals.

The jump to the PL is big from any league, but both are third tier leagues (if the PL is essentially on it's own as the toughest league and the rest of the big 5 are second tier), with the Argentinian league being statistically a little closer to the PL standard.

The biggest difference I can see is the price - not bad considering Alvarez is South America's player of the year.

They spent £22mil on agent fees last summer on Konate/Diaz, Mendes deffo pocketed a nice lil sum

Obviously Haaland is on a bigger wage but you'd think Nunes is playing for free how their breakdown is (also its well know Dippers salaries are elower but they have massive personal bonuses which is why their wage bill isn't actually much less than ours)

Haaland is the biggest football celebrity after Mbappe of the new generation, this is a HUGE deal for us
 
He looks like a class player tbf. The only reason I am not too worried is because they are losing Mane and that will be a big blow no matter who they sign. Next season let the imaginary league rivalry continue with another city league title.

When Mane leaves all they have done is replaced a forward who is virtually guaranteed 20 or so goals a season, with one that might score 20 goals a season. Hopefully Haaland hits the ground running for us and Nunez can celebrate failure with the rest of the tramps.
