Remember as a kid, if I was allowed to stay up a bit later (I think his shows were on BBC2 at 9:00 or 9:30pm) my stepdad would be pissing himself laughing at Dave Allen.

I've now watched most of this tonight on BBC2.......and I've been pissing myself laughing!!

Going to watch more of him on Youtube.........he is (was) a very funny, very talented comedian

Same here. When I was kid and my old man let me stay up to watch him, I couldn’t find a single thing funny about him. To be honest, I thought he was boring. I need to watch some of these YouTube vids now and try him again 40 years later.

Went to see him at Newcastle City Hall late 80s. On for over 3 and a half hours with no break. Brilliant

Reminds me of when I was a kid and his programme was a highlight at our house. Took my mum to see him at the Palace Theatre in the late 80’s/early 90’s. He was excellent and still very funny.
