a follower? nah mate

he was innovative in his production techniques/big stage technic's, amongst other things. i know what you mean about him being in a certain fashion at a certain time, but they were underground fashions

the guy was cutting edge. he realised the real things, the real music, came from the underground.

Maybe follower was a bit harsh. I meant more that he moved with the times and sounds of those times and put his own quality on it.

Lennon made some really good remarks on him in one of his final interviews with Andy Peebles during a discussion about the track Fame. Lennon said he was a big fan of his. I'm not sure if JL knew he got a mention in Life on Mars.

Top shout Aphex. The man is a genius, he is one of the few artists you can keep going back to and rediscovering his music. It doesnt get old.

His newer stuff is very underrated imo. Outside, Hours, Heathens were great albums...the reality album wasnt quite so good but still had some good songs on it.
