You do realise that there was an offside leading up to that handball which completely invalidates any decision to give a penalty. Rodri could have been dribbling the ball Chicago Bulls style and it still wouldn’t make a difference. Why dont you understand the rules of the game?
Because he’s from Huyton and his only form of transport is a child’s bmx.

You’ve been here 3 seconds and have chosen this particular thread to go bouncing around on.

Hmmm.
Maybe he’s right, it was scientifically proved to be the only contentious decision of the season… against the backdrop of the PGMOL having no clue how to interpret handball and being equally poor at understanding VAR. Or, he could be some loon on the wind up. I’ve penciled him in as a dick head filed under unreliable.

Just accept it that the integrity of the game is at question here. It was a definite penalty. Frank Lampards interview about his 3 year old kid would have whistled for that penalty.
I am definitely a doubter now. Chris K was in the VAR panel. Doubts galore.
If Everton scored that penalty, then both Liverpool and Man City were tied on 63 points each after 27 games. Liverpool lost that league by a single point.
Due to the coriolis effect in the Southern Hemisphere going the other way, you may not have noticed someone had wandered in the wrong direction into an offside position, so there was no handball call to make.

Let’s just ignore the fact it was offside anyway, so do us a favour and fuck off back to RAWK you sad sack.

No doubt others have beat me to it but you do realise the actual decision was offside. The offside occurred before any possible handball and therefore it was irrelevant. He could have picked it up and thrown it 20 yards and it still would not have been an offence.
But, why spoil a good dipper victim story eh.

No way of anybody knowing that.

IF Everton had scored that penalty there would have been, I think, around 10 minutes left for City to go hell for leather for a winner. No way of knowing if they would have got it.

If City had drawn that game, it throws the whole title run in into a context that didn’t happen. Liverpool would have had their noses in front and known they more than likely needed to win every game to stay that way.

That brings a whole different kind of pressure to one where you’re chasing and hoping but probably not expecting the other side to slip up. Again, no way of knowing if the remaining games would have played out the same way.

No one decision or one game ever cost anybody the title. All teams will have had things go for and against them over 38 games.
