David Moyes, shameless hypocrite

We have no money to buy players though. We buy cheap normally, occasionally we sell a donkey for an overinflated price, this allows us to buy for a couple of seasons.

What he buys are players that fit into his team work ethic. It works.

But all in all he's given nothing to work with. Just scraps.

Correct me if I'm wrong but do you mean Joleinho?

Moyes is a miracle worker, Cahill for 1 and a half million, Jelavic for 5 million etc etc.

That's him, to be honest I really like the guy and think he's a great player, but boo, booo I say.

Cahill was a bargain, Jelavic...well we'll see.
Pienaar, Arteta, Baines all decent cheap buys for the players they are. We have to sell though, shit position to be in, but he makes it work well.

Defeat? He got 10 million more for a centre back than he should by moaning. Seems like a win to me.

He may seem bitter and twisted, but to be honest, I'm glad he is. He fires his team up for the big games, he knows how to unsettle teams. He is a fucking football manager. He plays the game. We drop 10 to 15 points a season because we struggle to play against so called smaller teams. His fault, he's not perfect.

All this bollocks about city being our cup final is utter rubbish, we play well against most big teams and get results now.

He would work well as a national manager. I'd like him to be given a decent amount to spend for a couple of seasons at Everton, just to see what he'd do.

He doesn't have a good record against the red shite unfortunately.

My other half is a toffee so i know a few more of them by association. They all seem to be reaching a point where they wouldn't mind if Moyes moved on.

He was the perfect match for a club in Evertons financial position when he first arrived but the fans remember the "School of Science" with Harvey, Kendall and Ball and the "Angel" Jimmy Gabriel. Moyes defensive style grates on them.

There was no weeping and wailing when he was linked with Spuds. Several of their fans I know think he'll go to Celtic at some point.

Balls is he! Do you watch any other football?
He runs games, he makes/made us tick and play decent attractive football.
I just hope Spurs sell him back to us.

i would say moyes splits opinion amongst our fans. those who think he has done an amazing job on limited resources and those who are bored shitless by his negative tactics, and wish he would move onto celtic sooner rather than later. he has had a ten year stint and that is long enough for me. that 5-4-1 tactic may be acceptable v the big clubs but swansea / q.p.r at home ???

True say, true say.

I don't know why he persists with it, we look so much better when we play 4-4-1-1.
We only buy workhorses so everybody puts a shift in.
I still think he'll stay mind, I don't really want him to go to Spurs, I don't think he wants to go to Spurs.

i think he knows his limitations and spurs would be a risk for him and we both know moyes does not do risks. he will go celtic after us, i applaud all he has done to a degree but think he has a stubborn i know best streak and this stops him from really going all out to win a game. when we do change tactics we generally do well, but think he manages on a damage limitation process.
