It beggars belief just how our club was run in the 80s/90s.The joint Coventry bosses at the time were told when they travelled to Maine Road to discuss the deal that they could have any player they wanted as part of the deal so cheekily asked for Phillips, who they considered our best at that time - They couldn’t believe when they were told no problem at all !!
