i know he wont be remembered as a legend but it was sad how he died so young, only 33,very sad.

He was a better played than the majority of the side at the time.

I'm on my mobi so can't Youtube but his footwork on the touchline near the Grandstand against Barnsley I think or possibly Ipswich was superb.

Yeah I know that. Ipswich had a red shirt white short away kit at the time which is what is confusing me....not even had a beer yet tonight either.

Top guy, nice lad and a very good footballer, kind memories and I'm sure I speak for all fellow blues-sadly missed

I remember sitting by myself in a Barcelona bar some years ago waiting for my brother, on the TV screen were the weekend's footballing highlights, unexpectedly it was showing Maine Road and there were Rocastle's skills against Ipswich (thank you to previous post). This was met by nods of approval from the watching Spaniards and a smattering of applause. Felt proud then and still feel proud now at that little moment. Always terrible when people die prematurely.

My first ever City game was that Swindon match. I was disappointed that we'd lost David White but Rocky was a more than worthy replacement.
I was sat in the North stand front row. I was looking directly at him jinking into the penalty area and slotting it into the corner where I was pretty much sat with my dad.

I was saddened that we didn't keep him longer. Thought he was a talented player. And it's a sad loss at such a young age.

I remember meeting him as he was walking to the ground before the swindon game at maine road , he seemed a nice lad and had time to chat to people and sign autographs. A very good player too.
