Agreed. I have issue with people saying he went hiding, when far from it, he was hunting possession. He was just ineffective with it.
First half he was shunted left where he is useless. Second Half he came inside and kev was the useless winger. Poor management.

Wasn't his best game but he was constantly in the mix and worked his socks off. One of our better players.

I know he's a good mate of yours, but you don't have to take everything mentioned about Silva (good and bad) so personally.

On this occasion I wasn't . I was just making the point that others were worse today. From around 55-80 minutes DS was controlling our play we just didn't score in that period. Other than that he was bang average. First half Liverpool flooded the midfield so no space. Threat had to come from Sterling but his balls didn't appear until well into the 2nd half

I thought he was one of the better ones out there today.

But, we needed more of his influence earlier in the game.

He decided to try and grab the game by the scruff of the neck in about the 75th minute. 75 minutes too late.

That lack of consistency (or bottle depending on how you want to characterise it) is why we have often flattered to deceive in the last two and a half seasons. TBH he's not the only one. The 2012/2014 title winners need clean brooming out the door IMO. The fact Pep ideally wanted 11 new first team players last summer says a lot.

Was definitely one of our better players out there, especially once he moved centrally. People can't use that game to make conclusions about David.

Yep. He's definitely not the only one, we need a clear out. However, we've some fantastic young talent, so the future is bright. I'd personally not have Silva and Yaya start any games now - unless forced to by injuries to other players.
