Merlin is a genius. I never saw the great Colin Bell and respect those that say he is still our greatest player. But for me i find it hard to believe that David Silva shouldn't be on that pedestal. What a lovely debate to have.

In the BT Football Writers podcast, Daniel Storey said David Silva would be his player of the season. First hack I've heard say as much.

After Messi he is the finest player i have seen. At least on par with Xavi and Iniesta. Ronahldinho always had a smile and has unequaled skill with a ball but when he went missing he really went missing. Dave never ever has a poor match and if he loses the ball you have to rewind it to double check what you saw was real.Merlin is a genius. With all due respect to elder blues and the great Colin Bell, David Silva is the finest City player ever imo.
