Imagine being the likes of sterling, sane and even de bruyne, playing with a player of that level of quality and ability, with such a football IQ where even the highest tempo and most frantic games slow down to his pace when he's on the ball, and with all these he would be forgiven for saying to his other teammates to put in the graft for him, work harder around him to allow him to dictate and create for the team(see ozil) but nope, in fact he works and grafts harder than anyone else in the team, never stops running, goes for every 50-50 regardless of the size of the opposition player, it can only be great and inspirational for the team especially the younger ones to not only be playing with him but to have him as your captain. He's actually almost coaching the team at times during the game on where someone should move to in space or where a pass should go. An all time great player on the level of the xavi and iniesta and getting him on an improved contract was the best bit of any transfer business the club has done this season outside of ederson imo.
