You get the feeling he's thoroughly content with his footballing life. Nothing to prove, no one to impress, just play football.

He's not bad you know.

I'm not sure he is getting better.

I think we've improved around him. Our quality of movement under peps coaching is like nothing I've seen.

He's always been top class but now he has two, three, four options when he gets the ball. Kdb, sterling, aguero, the full backs. Sane, mahrez, all making intelligent runs.

He's always been class. We're enabling him to express himself at his level now.

He gave it away twice tonight.

The only downside I can think of.

Other than that it was nothing short of world class.

He’s the best attacking mid in the world and has been since Iniesta and Xavi got too old, even then I think he’s been on their level, had he played at Barca he’d have not been out of place with those two and Messi.
David is the most prolific goalscorer out of Xavi and Iniesta - 36 goals for Spain from midfield !!!!! He gets better with age. The best Prem player - just as Gary Neville has said so many times - much more consistent than Hazard - himself a colossal talent.

He’s definitely got better and better under Pep. He’s always been amazing but this season and last he’s been really quite clinical in front of goal when he used to be comically bad at finishing.

He’s the best midfielder in the world for me. Having him and KDB as our creative force is a bit unfair for rest to be honest. He could go on for a while yet too but saying that I think should we win the CL within the next two years the lure of returning home could be too strong for him to turn down.

He’s getting better

He scores goals on a regular basis these days... whilst also running the game

He needs to sign a 12 month extension like Sergio

His finishing has been surperb in the last 2 seasons. It's come on in leaps and bounds. His finishing for us now like he used to for the Spanish national team.

In reality though, no. He was never the type of player that would age poorly given his game isn't based on physical attributes. He's just in a team that is pretty much custom built for him and displays his magic beautifully. Great to see yes picking up some more plaudits from none city fans, it's only took them a decade to notice. A player of the year award is surely on the cards and merited.

He seems physically faster and stronger than before. Hope h doesn’t sprain his wrist or the ragrumors will fly.

He's obviously better when there are players making intelligent runs around him. We've got that now more than ever. But his own runs have been great too, which is why he's scoring more.
