This. I have always said Crouch is unfairly treated. He does what a 'normal' sized footballer takes for granted. Being someone only 3 or 4 inches smaller than Crouch, I can vouch how difficult it is to do what those average sized, skillful players do. He looks stupid, but so what? For him to be able to do scissor kicks the way he does, is really quite something. Also, his hold up play and general control on the floor is as good as, if not better, than anyone else in the league. Remember Samaras? How things would just bounce off him and he could never trap anything? Crouch can, with ease. If he had a 15-20 game run in a team, he would get into double figures and have double assists too, of that I have no doubt. I would take him anyday.

Tevez and Adebayor are better strikers then Villa because they can perform in the Premier League, David Villa is lightweight and overated like Robinho. La Liga is much easier to play and look good ask Diego Forlan. Fernando Torres would be the best possible striker we could get to play alongside Tevez.

how so? we have great 'strikers' already, villa does a very similar job to tevez. cassano would be a play-maker, something we are missing.

how so? we have great 'strikers' already, villa does a very similar job to tevez. cassano would be a play-maker, something we are missing.

He isn't the same as Tevez, just cos Tevez is on a good run of form, not every great striker needs to be 6 ft 5, and in fact, the fact we've had to use Benjani shows we haven't got the depth.

Cassano is a nutcase and isn't the answer, we sold Elano(the creative, albeit inconsistant influence in our midfield) and didn't replace him, that's where the problem is, Cassano doesn't answer it.
