David Silva here @ Wolves (H)

I think what we are missing here is that Spanish Dave is a quiet humble man and probably didn't want all the fuss. Great reception from the fans though.
I agree that he probably didn’t want the fuss. In fact I think it was more touching that there weren’t any banners etc, just a genuine emotion from the fans.
Round where I sit there was an audible gasp and spontaneous outburst of applause which was so much better than any artificial build up.
The crowd went wild on their own. That is what made it so special to my mind.

I thought MOTD might have shown his entrance onto pitch. Instead they shown the same shot as Sky - Dave playing Sudoku on his phone.

Must admit I had been hoping he might be back for last game IF we win the league to present the trophy. Was a pity many will have missed seeing him yesterday .

I was surprised that hardly any wolves fans acknowledged him - one of the greatest midfielders to grace the PL

I’ve never been in the situation but I think I’d clap in the reverse situation (rag player aside)

Sorry I didn’t see them. I was so busy trying not to fall over and clapping at the same time. *lol* Plus I would have had to turn my head away from David Silva. :-)

I agree by the way that if the position was reversed (same exclusions) I would have applauded. I've been known to applaud an opposing team off when they’ve played extremely well and not beaten us! Normally overseas teams mind!!

Dave has brought the Spanish weather with him. It’s lovely outside.

Didn't realise he was there.

Nice touch having the Vatican flag behind him.

Missed that. My tram mysteriously stood at New Islington for about 10 minutes, so was right on the last minute. Shame.

Looks like his hair is coming along nicely.

He retired right?

Bring him back as a sort of midfield coach.

I know he is shy, but would love having him around the team and helping the new players.

Legendary Player and the best midfielder we’ve had in our most successful period

its got me thinking how lucky we’ve been with midfielders , would be very difficult to pick three out of the following

Dave
Rodri
Gundogan
Yaya
Kev
Bernado
Fernandinho

its probably

Rodri
Kev
Dave

but I’d be happy with

Fernandinho
Yaya
Bernado
