David Silva: Is he untouchable?

I'm going to say this again and for the final time (maybe). In my opinion Mancini has signed players on mentality and temperament as much as football skills. The players he has signed are not only sublime at what they do but are also as professional as professional footballers should be.

Point being, the players here look very happy. They are paid better here than they ever will be anywhere else and they will win trophies for fun. There's also a very nice Spanish contingent that have close friendships and don't seem like the kind of guys that will demand transfers.

In conclusion, Silva is going nowhere. Barca and Real will come knocking but they can go knock somewhere else.

Just posted in another thread, in my opinion he's the best player EVER to wear a City shirt.

As long as his family are happy here then why should he move, Real will come knocking on the door that's for sure, the beautiful thing is we don't NEED to answer it.

What we really need to do is find him an English girl like Kompany did. If he's got a wag, I haven't seen it in the media.

hopefully not her though

Fabregas was worth £50m but his situation was different, he was in the final year of his deal and wanted to go to the club he had been with as a boy.

Fact is, the transfer market will never be the same again in light of financial fair play.

They actually protect our current blue chip players.

Not even Barca or Real will be able to justify £60m plus wages for someone like Silva.

What we will see from the market as a whole is high valued swap deals - akin to Ibrahimovic and Eto'o deal.

David Silva was born to be a City player , he makes the entire team tick , he also claims to be very happy here .... but at the end of the day they don't come much bigger than Barcelona or Real Madrid , both clubs in his homeland , and both clubs he respects ....... there's also the issue that he might feel he'll get more games for Spain should he be playing for one of those sides ..... as has been pointed out already , he'll make the decision should either of them come calling , but he knows he's loved here , he likes playing for City , he loves Manchester , and he likes the way Mancunians give him the 'space' he needs to enjoy a bit of privacy , so it's by no means a certainty that he'd leave this club.

I just couldn't imagine watching City without him ... he looks like part of the furniture , and is definetely one of most popular players ever .

I think he is untouchable, if we lost him i don't think we could replace him.

I'm so in love with this man, it's a pleasure to be a City fan just to watch this man go to work for 90 minutes.

David Silva will be right up there next to Colin Bell when he finishes his career.

Been thinking about that statement for a few hours now, and I've come to the conclusion that you are right sir.
