I don't think David was part of Peps go to starters this season ( I know he started some games) and I think he was being marginalised a bit. A lot of people said he slowed our game down, and I believe a little of that may have been in Peps thinking - he's going at the end of the season, and I have to crack on with the way I want to play - so to speak. It's a bit of a shame for it to fizzle out a tad.
It's now our job, as real supporters, to forget the crap and not link our frustration at another CL sub par performance, and push that to the back of our minds, as it has feck all to do with or distract from, this magnificent little sod who has lit up our home for ten years.
If you don't like the way he swivels and then releases the killer pass, or the pass before the assist, or the goal against Blackpool, or grabing the game against Hull by the scruff of the neck and scoring and providing Edins goal, or the quick two-step against Wigan, the pass of the decade against the rags and nutmegging DeGea in the same game - then I'm sorry you don't love football - imho. I really love women - but if I had to....
As supporters, we can't really do much in the way of statues or training pitch names but we can remember him as one of our all time greats maybe even above Colin - it's the least he deserves.
